The English Department’s Commencement Ceremony will take place on Friday, May 26, in the Goldstein Theatre, around 11:30am (or about 30 minutes after the campus-wide Commencement Ceremony ends).
For the department ceremony, no RSVP or tickets are required. I recommend you and your loved ones get there by at least 11 to grab seats (and even earlier if you need to look for parking). Graduates will sit on the stage, and you’ll be given instructions on where to sit, when to line up to get your name called, etc. Cap and gown are optional. The ceremony usually lasts about an hour, and there’s a small reception with cake afterward.
You do not have to participate in the campus-wide ceremony to come to the department ceremony. However, if you do plan on going to the campus ceremony, you must RSVP at http://www.qc.cuny.edu/registrar/graduation/commencement/Pages/commencement_ceremony_rsvp.aspx.
